Position Summary...

What you'll do...

  • You will create and make a significant impact on the overall developer experience in terms of provisioning cloud infrastructure which includes in the areas of cloud architecture, infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and infrastructure modernization across the company.

  • As part of Developer Experience platform engineering team you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation infrastructure required to support the scalable growth of our Cloud platform. , specifically with a strong background in Kubernetes and HELM and a proven track record in working with Terraform along with observability tooling

  • You will help to make infrastructure and architecture scale to meet the needs of the platform which solve the needs of engineers and teams using the systems

About Team:

Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer with expertise in Cloud Engineering and Programming experience to join International Technology Architecture team. This is a hands-on role requires expert coding skills, strong architecture and design, deep focus and experience on Engineering excellence, and the ability to guide and mentor a small team of engineers. You will play a critical role in leading, designing, and developing cloud native solution which can solve platform engineering problems

What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years of hands-on programming experience in one or more programming languages especially Golang

  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes , Terraform

  • Experience on SaaS or PaaS or IaaS industry with hands on experience with public or private cloud offerings

  • Strong background in algorithms and data structures.

  • Have designed, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems on cloud at large scale.

  • Have the knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture.

  • Experience to build, CI/CD & deployment pipelines and related technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins etc. especially with Golang based applications

  • Have the knowledge of Kubernetes along with other CNCF technologies and tools.

  • container technologies such as Docker on Kubernetes.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc.

  • Expertise in the cloud infrastructure and services in Azure, GCP, or Open Stack.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
