Be part of the Sensor, Software and Prototyping team, focused on testing application software used to collect data and develop Apple’s next generation features and algorithms. This includes technologies such as Spatial computing, Multitouch, TouchID, and FaceID. Testing is focused on visionOS, macOS, iOS, and watchOS applications that drive unique UI experiences, interface with firmware and low level software drivers, and provide data to processing pipelines. You will be a motivated individual who independently follows up on bugs, collaborates with developers to resolve issues and can understand and discuss technical problems with other QE engineers, development partners and program managers.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Partner with development team to quickly learn a new application, break it into functional parts, and identify potential weaknesses

  • Strong software development/test automation skills, with high proficiency in Python is required

  • Prior experience with Swift programming and developing iOS test automation with Xcode UI automation framework is required

  • Develop robust and repeatable automated testing solutions

  • Understand the context where an application will be deployed, providing insights to potential failures

  • Author detailed test plans that cover all functionality and edge cases of a system

  • Author and executing detailed test plans that cover all functionality and edge cases of a system

  • Tracking performance, reporting results to management, driving issues to closure

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, guaranteeing complete test coverage and a flawless end user experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Building creative new tools, fixtures, and methodologies to stress software features

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
