The Alexa Device Team is looking for a talented, highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join Alexa Devices, Sales, & Marketing team. Alexa is the groundbreaking intelligent agent that powers Echo and other devices designed around your voice.

As a Senior Product Manager within the Echo Devices team, you will define and build our next generation of Echo hardware products and experiences.

Key job responsibilities

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. They will have experience with consumer electronics, preferably working on hardware devices or their accessories including health-related consumer electronic products, mobile phones, speakers, TVs, smart displays, laptop/desktop computers, tablets/e-readers, or wearable products such as earbuds, fitness devices, and e-scooters/bikes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define creative, high quality, new Echo device concepts based on team strategy and vision

  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, cost and schedule

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

  • Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver products and features to market

  • Drive feature launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
