How will you make an impact

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Research and Development team. This position will be based in Sunnyvale, CA, and will be directing a team to drive innovation in electrolytic membrane devices and detection techniques used in IC, and sample preparation.

As a R&D senior leader, this position supports initiatives to deliver growth for the business and set technical strategies to influence the direction of product development portfolio. Also, ensure the alignment, accountability and communication needed for effective execution of new product development and sustaining projects.

What will you do

Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our ion chromatography offerings.

Lead and manage a team of scientists and researchers in the design, development, sustaining and optimization of IC and sample prep systems and methodologies.

Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By providing mentorship and guidance to your team. Inspire and empower scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of scientific research.

Through strategic decision-making and effective resource allocation, optimize R&D processes and drive efficiency.

Shape the team's research priorities and strategic direction. By staying abreast of industry trends and customer needs, guide the development of new product concepts and drive the innovation pipeline.

Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external research organizations, industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and academic institutions to stay at the forefront research.

How will you get here

Education/Experience

MS degree in Chemistry or other relevant scientific fields is required; PhD is preferred with 12+ years experience and 5+ years of leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understanding of the principles, techniques, and instrumentation of analytical chemistry is crucial in research and development (R&D) environments.

Proficiency in leading and running sophisticated R&D projects from conception to commercialization, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management

Outstanding communication and presentation talents, capable of articulately translating complex scientific ideas and research developments to a diverse audience, including both specialists and laypersons

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $160,000.00–$230,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
