As a Sr. Manager - Product Management Technical, you will be accountable for the Amazon Echo roadmap. You will own defining and delivering the next-generation of Echo devices in the home.

This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features and products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon.com.

A successful candidate will be a big thinker, empathetic leader, results oriented, and highly analytical. This candidate will be able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and experiences that customers love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the vision and strategy for Amazon Echo. Define, build, and launch next-generation of Echo devices

  • Hire and develop a bar-raising team of product managers

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

  • Define use cases, requirements, and prioritization for Echo device capabilities. Work with partner teams to deliver new and creative Alexa experiences through devices

  • Learn and be curious about technology roadmap that can shape the future of devices

  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load

  • Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
