Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Marketing Technology team has the mandate of increasing the rate of customer acquisition, retention, and revenue by optimizing products and inventing new marketing channels. We are a bunch of super talented and passionate engineers, data scientists, and analysts working together on an array of impactful problems in domains ranging from displaying ads on the Open Web and Social Marketing to organic search channels on walmart.com and other properties owned by Walmart.

Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale data systems operating at petabytes scale. We focus on real-time indexing pipelines, web crawling, streaming analytics, distributed machine learning infrastructure. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

We are seeking a talented and versatile Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both UI and backend development, with extensive experience using ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot. You should be adept at database management with MySQL and Hive, proficient in API development, and comfortable working with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and make a significant impact on our technology stack.

What you will do:

  • UI Development: Design and implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using ReactJS and modern JavaScript frameworks.

  • Backend Development: Develop robust server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring high performance and scalability.

  • Database Management: Manage and interact with databases such as MySQL and Hive, including schema design, querying, and optimization.

  • API Development: Create, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.

  • Cloud Technologies: Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for deployment, scaling, and maintaining cloud-based applications.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and resolve issues promptly.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and codebases.

What you will bring

  • Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with frontend build tools and frameworks is a plus.

  • Backend Technologies: Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot. Familiarity with microservices architecture is advantageous.

  • Database Management: Hands-on experience with MySQL and Hive. Understanding of database design, indexing, and performance tuning.

  • API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI is a plus.

  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud services (AWS, Azure).

  • Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
