What you'll do...

Job Summary :

As a Software Engineer III, you'll join an Agile Team to delve into our Inventory landscape. You will be responsible to develop and maintain a near real time inventory application using the latest tech stack.

About Team: Enterprise Inventory(EI)

Inventory is at the heart of Walmart's business, EI plays a crucial role in providing near real time inventory for various functions of the business-like Replenishment, Store Operations, .Com sales, forecasting, finance etc. Our team is spread across three different locations Bentonville, Sunnyvale and Bangalore.

What You'll Do:

As a member of the team, you will be expected to code, test, and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide.

  • Collaborate with senior members of the team to gather requirements, participate in design discussion, code, test and deploy the products to production.

  • Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.

  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.

What You'll Bring:

  • Possess strong computer science knowledge in algorithms, data structures, database concepts.

  • Thorough knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and experience implementing RESTFUL Web Services.

  • Hands on in developing web applications using REST, Kafka Messaging, Java, Spring Boot, Micro-services, and SOA.

  • Experience with Java in building multi-threaded high performance scalable applications.

  • Experience with any Cloud Computing platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google cloud or similar is must.

  • Knowledge in Reactive programming Java will be given a plus.

  • Solid design and coding skills in Java and/or Spring framework.

  • You be a plus if worked in the ecommerce/retail software space.

  • Experience building high-performance, highly available and scalable systems.

  • Extensive hands-on experience building services using these technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate).

  • Strong knowledge in data structures, SQL technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
