Google Senior Solutions Group Product Manager, Networking, Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

  • Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture.

  • Experience with product management, customer engineering, solutions engineering or technical marketing in cloud networking, security, Kubernetes, infrastructure and application modernization, CDNs, observability.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.

  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Knowledge in building accessibility best practices, with experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Cloud Networking team works with networking technologies to innovate networking with secure, reliable, and efficient services, to enable customers and partners to achieve new opportunities with cloud services. The team is building networking and security solutions for Google Cloud customers to help them simplify and accelerate their journey to the cloud. As a Solutions Product Manager for Google Cloud, you will own the solution definition and architecture, and will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Be a trusted advisor for strategic customers, build and maintain customer relationships, and gather customer insights and feedback.

  • Define solution requirements based on customer discussions, identify critical gaps across products, and find innovative ways to solve for customer needs.

  • Author solution design guides in partnership with Technology Specialists, Field Architects, Engineering, and Product Managers.

  • Influence and lead the technical community for creating technical content.

  • Train sales partners and customers on best practices for reliability, performance and security, and create technical demonstrations for networking and security solutions.
