Walmart Senior Manager, Technology Support (Executive Support Services) in Sunnyvale, California

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Responsible for providing high-level technical support and guidance to executives within Walmart Inc and its subsidiaries. This includes addressing technology-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring executives have the necessary resources to perform their job effectively. The role involves personalized technical support, device management, support for meetings and events, onboarding and training, information security, vendor management, and IT strategy and planning.

About Team:

Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.

What you'll do:

  1. Identifying and resolving systems issues: The Executive Support Technician will be responsible for providing continuous technical support and troubleshooting systems issues. They will need to develop solutions to eliminate failure points and improve system up time. They will collaborate with stakeholders to determine the root cause of systems issues and effectively communicate these issues and their resolutions to senior leadership.

  2. Driving and executing projects: The Executive Support Technician will be responsible for independently driving and executing projects across divisions and platforms. They will need to develop and implement project plans, ensuring that tasks are executed in order to achieve project goals. They will also monitor progress, manage changes to project plans, prioritize and resolve critical issues, and track project expenditures and budgets.

  3. Managing the design and development of tracking tools and reports: The Executive Support Technician will be responsible for managing the design and development of tracking tools, reports, and surveys that improve business efficiency. They will need to utilize various analysis methodologies to analyze and interpret information for one or more initiative work streams. They will also ensure data accuracy, consolidate data and information into dashboards and other reporting tools, and provide expert suggestions and advice on content usability and effectiveness.

  • Technical expertise: A strong foundation and extensive knowledge of various technologies, hardware, software, and networking systems are essential for effectively troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues independently.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills: The ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop innovative solutions is crucial for an individual contributor in this role. They should have a logical approach to problem-solving and be able to quickly identify and address technical issues.

  • Self-motivation and initiative: As an individual contributor, it is important to be self-driven and proactive in taking ownership of tasks and projects. This includes being able to work independently, prioritize work effectively, and drive projects to completion.

  • Communication skills: Clear and concise communication is vital in an individual contributor role. The ability to explain technical concepts, document processes, and effectively communicate with stakeholders is necessary to ensure understanding and collaboration.

  • Adaptability and continuous learning: The IT industry is constantly evolving, and an individual contributor in this role should possess a willingness to adapt to change and continuously upgrade their skills. Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends will enable them to provide the most effective IT support.

Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
