Walmart Director, Product Management - Energy in Sunnyvale, California

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Walmart Energy Transformation strategy aims to decarbonize our operations while capturing emerging new value streams that help catalyze societal decarbonization. Walmart has recently committed to bringing 10 GW of clean energy online by 2030, in addition to our publicly stated goals of 50% clean powered by 2025, 100% clean powered by 2035, and zero emissions in our operations by 2040. We are also building a public EV charging network to provide energy choice and affordability for our customers and local communities. In addition to build new clean energy assets, we aim to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions across our facilities and transition our fleet to zero emissions vehicles.

Walmart Global Tech is hiring a Director of Product - Energy to lead a team responsible for driving the roadmap and execution of software products for the Energy ecosystem. This is a portfolio of products enabling:

  • Differentiated & seamless customer experience, partnerships and GTM strategies for Electric Vehicle charging

  • Operational Excellence in managing public charging networks

  • Site selection & portfolio optimization strategy for renewable energy generation, storage and distribution

  • and more

Success in this role requires high comfort with ambiguity, entrepreneurial mentality, customer obsession, and experience with building end-to-end systems from the ground up.

What you'll do...

  • Shape the strategy and execution of Walmart's Energy platform, and guide the team through ambiguous product decisions

  • Building a culture of end-to-end ownership, efficient operating reviews, data driven decision-making & prioritization, and strong partnerships with cross functional stakeholders

  • Work in-depth with Design, Engineering and Data Science partners to deliver high quality & high impact products

  • Manage a team of product managers, building consistent product practices and processes. Guide the team on effective methods of discovery, product iteration and drive the effective delivery of products

  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors degree and 10-12 years of experience in product management

  • 5 -7 years leading product teams. Experience building new products from the ground

The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
