Meta Device Certification Engineer in Sunnyvale, California

Required Skills:

Device Certification Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive compliance test plans by reading and interpreting Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to compile critical factors that affect device certification.

  2. Provide quick and concise compliance guidance to cross-functional teams based on solid and relevant compliance knowledge, ensuring informed decision-making.

  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to root cause compliance issues and help find solutions, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on product development.

  4. Connect all cross-functional decisions and provide input based on regulations to cross-functional partners, enabling them to evaluate options allowed by regulatory agencies.

  5. Drive third-party test lab to execute testing, review reports and compile certification filing package and achieve product certification to smooth market access.

  6. Maintain sustaining programs and ensure products continue to meet regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 3+ years of experience

  2. Experiences with EMC/RF compliance testing

  3. Experience with WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, BT (LE/classic) devices compliance

  4. Experience with compiling certification filing package and submitting to the regulatory agencies

  5. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external testing labs

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experiences with cellular (LTE, 5G) device certification

  2. Experience with global compliance standards such as FCC, ISED, CE and other international regulatory requirements

  3. Experience with RF exposure requirement such as MPE, SAR and PD

Public Compensation:

$102,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
