Techtronic Industries North America, Inc. Quality Technician I - 2nd shift in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

Purpose of the Position

The Quality Tech I performs in process inspections. They ensure compliance with required engineering specifications and/or applicable standards. The Quality Inspector I is responsible for reporting and assisting with disposition of non-conforming product.

The Position reports to the Quality Supervisor at Milwaukee Tool

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring packaging requirements are met by completing end of line inspection

  • Escalate quality issues so they can be fixed in a timely manner

  • Ability to read and understand provided work instructions

  • Effectively communicate across shifts and work within team

  • Perform basic shop math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversion, basic statistics,

  • Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is required

  • Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment

  • May be assigned special projects and other duties

Education and Experience

  • High School or GED diploma required

  • One (1) year of previous Quality Technician experience preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent attention to detail

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

  • Prolonged standing of eight or more hours a day

  • Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, and reaching

  • Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
