Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler will be responsible for locating, picking, and verifying materials and supplies listed on work orders, maintaining in-process inventory at the production line, and preparing finished stock for shipment. This role involves operating and maintaining various material handling equipment, working with RF scanning equipment, and handling finished goods palletizing and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Locate materials and supplies by picking and verifying materials and supplies listed on work orders.

• Maintain in-process inventory at the production line by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

• Prepare finished stock for shipment by labeling, loading, pulling, and securing products.

• Operate and maintain various material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and utility carts.

• Work with RF scanning equipment to maintain records of merchandise shipped, as well as examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

• Handle finished goods palletizing.

• Unload trucks.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation (6 months - 1 year of experience).

• Material handling.

• Unloading.

• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.

• Loading.

• Pallet jack operation.

• Sit-down forklift operation.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

• 95% of the day will be standing, bending, and walking.

Work Environment

1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Overtime is a minimum of 45 hours per week, with the potential to work 50+ hours if desired. We aim to avoid Saturday work. The facility is well-lit, clean, automated, and climate-controlled. Dress code is casual but appropriate for a warehouse environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgerton, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
