As a mechanical technician you will be part of the maintenance department, working with the production team to set up, troubleshoot and repair machines. Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Sumter, SC

Pay Range: $18 - $20

Shift: 3rd Shift (12 hours 3-2-2-3) 6p-6a

What’s the Job?

• Responsible for stepping in to repair machine breakdowns.

• Set-up, operate, optimize, changeover/troubleshoot, and maintain assigned departmental production equipment.

• Sets up and debugs equipment to the specifications listed in specifications, plant policies, and Department Procedures.

• Maintains equipment in working order to produce product within specified quality and quantity limits; adjusting, troubleshooting, cleaning and repairing as necessary.

• Responsible for maintaining equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.

What’s Needed?

• Mechanical Knowledge : Understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools is crucial.

• Tool Proficiency : Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment..

• Attention to Detail : Precision is crucial in mechanical work to ensure systems function correctly.

• Work Experience : 3 years previous experience in mechanical or technical roles are required: specially in the areas of setup, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing machinery.
