Our client, a manufacturer of medical devices is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist you will be part of the Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Production teams. The ideal candidate will have mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, documentation and reporting skills, along with verbal and written communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Sumter, SC

Pay Range: $20/hour

What’s the Job?

Max of 5

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and perform repairs

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime

• Set up and debug equipment to specification

• Follow all plant policies and department policies and observe all safety and environmental procedures and quality system requirements

• Maintain accurate equipment repair logs and records all downtime

What’s Needed?

Max of 5

• Hands-on mechanical background (Experience/knowledge of car engines, boat engines, HVAC is helpful)

• Industrial machine repair experience

• Machinery blue-print reading

• Verbal and written communication and documentation skills

• Proper use of repair tools
