Kanaan Communications, LLC Coax Splicer Technician in Sumner, Washington

We’re looking for a Coax Splicer to join our team and help connect America. You will perform the duties of a Coax Splicer as a part of the construction of telecommunications outside plant to ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by customer

We provide paid training, a company vehicle, full benefits, and tuition assistance.

What you’ll do…

  • You will perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of coax.

  • You will test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.

  • You will self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

  • You will complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete \"as-built maps\" for areas built and track daily production.

  • You will reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.

  • You will occasionally work independently.

  • Other splicing related duties as assigned.

  • Safely use hand tools and other equipment required.

  • Setting up a safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers.

  • Flagging traffic when required.

  • You will maintain bucket trucks and fleet vehicles.

  • You will call in job starts for permit requirements

  • You will take part in or conduct Safety meetings

    Who we are looking for…

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience of bucket trucks and trailer towing. CDL not required.

  • You are authorized to work in the United States

  • You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

  • You have effective communication skills

  • You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed

  • You have the ability to distinguish colors

  • You have experience reading and building from blueprints and/or wire diagrams

  • You have knowledge of telecommunications network structure
