ManpowerGroup Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (VMO) in Summit, New Jersey

We are looking for an experienced Lead SDET to own and lead test automation for complex, distributed applications. This role involves leading a team of Selenium developers, enhancing automation practices, and collaborating with Agile teams. You will work hands-on in developing and executing automated test suites, improving SDLC processes, and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.

Job Title: Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Contract: 12 months

Location: On-site, Iselin, NJ (3 days in office required)

Pay: $85/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own test automation for distributed applications.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Selenium developers.

  • Enhance test automation practices and provide cross-training to Agile teams.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies for design, development, and implementation discussions.

  • Develop, test, and release code in line with SDLC practices.

  • Build Behavior Driven Development (BDD) test suites using Gherkin, Cucumber, and Selenium.

  • Automate functional and non-functional testing for RESTful APIs, batch jobs, and Angular UIs.

  • Utilize tools like BlazeMeter, Karate, GitHub, IntelliJ, and Jenkins for testing and CI/CD.

  • Ensure all development aligns with enterprise standards for security, performance, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience.

  • 5+ years of Selenium development experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with Cucumber and Gherkin.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle, Java/J2EE, XML, Spring Boot.

  • 10+ years of Selenium experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata).

  • 5+ years of experience with RESTful or SOAP web services.

  • 2+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience.
