Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment. The Project Engineer reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible to manage, coordinate and execute the scope of work for equipment and/or system projects from order entry through commissioning, including all technical and financial aspects of the project.Responsibilities•Review, understand and execute the scope as defined in the order entry package - both technically and commercially•Prepare GAANT chart for project, update changes in real time and communicate with customer when changes occur•Manage all aspects of the project to assure the project is completed on time and within budget•Responsible for transmission of drawings to customers and obtaining drawing approvals to assure timely project execution•Responsible for regular communication with customers during the course of the project•Collaborate with other Engineering or Sales resources during the execution of project tasks as required•Responsible for obtaining change orders from customers prior to executing any requested scope changes•Propose alternatives and solutions to engineering management when cost overruns or technical issues arise prior to discussing same with customer•Participate in project review meetings and be prepared to talk technical and commercial details related to project executionQualifications•5+ years of experience managing projects (powder processing industry, preferred)•Powder processing experience includes size reduction, classification, mixing/drying, pneumatic conveying and air systems•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Access)•AutoCAD experience, a plus•System validation experience, a plusEducation•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical EngineeringHosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
