Hosokawa Micron International Inc. Process Technician in Summit, NJ, New Jersey

Hosokawa Custom Processing Services offers custom processing (milling, size reduction, etc.) for Chemicals, Minerals, Polymers, and Plastics at our new, state-of-the-art facility in Goldsboro, NC. The Team specializes in process development - helping identify the most efficient solutions for batch processing to long-term manufacturing. The Processing Technician will focus on process runs for customers in toll processing along with the customer feasibility. Scale up tests and preparation of equipment for upcoming processes and customer tests will also be a part of the Process Technician’s role. This position is on-site in Summit, NJ. Job Duties:•Set up and verify configuration of process equipment•Perform customer process runs and determine toll processing conditions for toll processing runs to facilitate costing of projects•Analyze processed materials using provided analytical methods•Assemble and disassemble testing equipment for cleaning, maintenance and reassembly•Communicate with Supervisor/Manager prior to, during, and after scheduled process runs regarding issues with process runs and/or equipment condition•Package and ship materials to customers•Participate in training relating to the operation of machinery, analyzers, packaging procedures, data collection and labeling required for customer tests and production projects•Other duties as required (safety training, professional development, etc.)Physical Requirements:•Must be able to remain stationary, upright and active for the duration of the shift•Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs•Must be able to manually scoop materials from a standing position for up to 50% of a shift•Must be able to climb stairs or equipment ladders to access equipment for extended periods Basic Qualifications:•2+ years’ experience in a technical processing/ production field or industrial experience•High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications:•1+ years’ experience with mixing/blending•Hazard Communication experience•Previous experience in the powder processing field •Experience with driving a forklift•Knowledge of basic safety protocols relating to the use of mechanical equipment, forklifts, and PPE•Mechanical aptitude•Effective written and verbal communication skills•Proficient computer skills with use of Microsoft applicationsHosokawa Custom Processing Services LLC provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.Hosokawa Custom Processing Services LLC is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
