Salary Range:$120,000 - $175,000 annually

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Market the transportation sector’s services to existing and new clients and ensure that Fisher Associates is known and visible in the marketplace.

  • Hire, develop and manage a stable, motivated staff with high morale, and mentor staff in developing their professional demeanor, technical competence, team building skills, process improvements, and client relation skills.

  • Manage projects including adhering to project budgets and schedules, guiding the design of projects, ensuring QA/QC is performed on all calculations and deliverables, and monitoring workload and staff utilizations.

  • Monitor and pro-actively identify or correct technical, schedule or financial issues through effective communication with staff.

  • Assist with the development and execution of the business plan in the geography.

  • Provide input for Go/No Go decisions for RFP’s.

  • Write proposals and attend interviews.

Supervisory/leadership Duties

  • Model standards for professional performance that are in accordance with the company’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

  • Ability to manage a team across the geographies in which we have staff.

  • Oversees the work of teams on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Coordinates and prioritizes work of direct reports and team members.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)

  • 15+ years minimum of transportation design experience

  • 10 years minimum of project management experience

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.

  • Prior staff management experience preferred.

  • Client relationship and business development experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of all aspects of project development for a variety of transportation projects for the respective DOT’s, agencies and locally administered federal aid transportation projects in their geographic area.
