Project Overview:

The Bechtel Equipment Operations (BEO) Tool Inventory Coordinator for Solar Projects will report to and supports the Tool Field Operations Manager with the management of the multiple Solar Project. Under direction of the Tool Field Operations Manager, the Tool Inventory Coordinator will receive, organize, issue and replenish tools and consumables in support of the work at multiple Solar project sites.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor availability and use of project tools. You will help analyze requirements, organize work plans, prepare requisitions, track fulfillment, and deploy activities. You will enforce policies and procedures, prepare forecasting, and keep supervisors informed on progress. Your work will help ensure tools and equipment are in safe condition, operational, and meet project needs.

This position will be based in Sugar Land, Texas. The successful candidate will be trained on the BEO processes, procedures and systems. As deemed necessary to the success of the Solar Projects, travel within the US will be required and should be expected up to 50% of the time.

Major Responsibilities:

  • On small projects monitors work activities, analyzes and reviews workforce, tools & consumable supply requirements, and organizes the area discipline work plan requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.

Planning

  • On small projects, monitors the tools & consumable availability and usage. Leads and reviews the preparation of Field Material Requisitions (FMR), and the data entry needs to facilitate tracking and planning needs for site.

  • Prepare reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.

  • Sets up and deployment of small project and home office activities related to tools & consumables.

  • Assists superintendents with the sourcing, deployment, and material and tool and consumable supply requirements in support of project.

Safety and Quality

  • Monitors and ensures that the quality of work performed meets requirements.

  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management.

  • Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Good oral and written communication.

  • Strong automation skills, ability to learn new applications quickly.

  • Proficient in organizing tasks for completion by an agreed deadline.

  • Knowledge of small tool and consumable program operations and management.

  • Knowledge of material handling/warehousing processes and procedures.

  • Knowledge of small tools, consumables, rigging and safety materials commonly utilized during construction
