Catholic Health Initiatives Physical Therapist in Sugar Land, Texas
Overview
St. Lukes Health–Sugar Land Hospital offers the latest technology and treatments for residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. Our services range from heart care and neuroscience to robotic surgery. Our recently opened Family Birthing Center offers incomparable care and amenities in a spa-like environment to provide a VIP—Very Important Pregnancy—experience. Since 2008 our experienced doctors nurses and support staff have provided expert care to support our community.
Responsibilities
Our physical therapists see between 6 to 8 patients daily for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, or treatments. Our therapists perform most treatments themselves. You’ll work with a variety of backgrounds - orthopedic injury or surgery recovery, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or conditions affecting balance, to name a few. This environment is busy and fast-paced but full of collaborative and supportive team members willing to offer help, advice, or mentoring at any time.
- Develop and update appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to the persons age
and lifestyle with measurable long and short term goals and a defined D/C plan Understand the role of physical therapy
in the context of the patients age, total needs perspective and environment
- Perform age appropriate competency skills in area of practice and with respect to individual patient problems.
Follow intervention protocols and alter plan of care appropriately. Discharge patient when goals have been met or
medical necessity is no longer warrants intervention. Establish provisions and/or make recommendations
- Consistently meet patient care productivity standard as established for job classification. Work cooperatively with
supervisors and peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team. Utilize support personnel as appropriate and
available. Actively support and participate in patient coverage efforts across all divisions within the department as
necessary
- Promotes and Supports positive and professional customer service, while interacting with clients, guests and hospital
personnel. Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to
assure patients and customer’s needs are met in a timely manner. Encourages the active participation of the patient
and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education
Qualifications
Required:
*Degree in Physical Therapy
*State Licensure in Physical Therapy (PT)
*CPR/BLS certification
*Graduates eligible for licensure will be considered
Pay Range
$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
