Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry located in Strongsville, Ohio, for a diligent and meticulous individual to join our team as a Sr. Accountant. This role is focused on owning and managing various areas of the financial close and reporting process, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and participating in annual audits.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple areas of the financial close and reporting process, ensuring the accurate calculation and recording of journal entries.

• Obtain and review required supporting documentation and perform account reconciliations.

• Conduct frequent trend/variance analyses across all relevant general ledger accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Develop and document business processes and related controls, including the creation of flowcharts as needed.

• Assist in the daily activities of accounting and financial operations.

• Prepare monthly general ledger entries and support the monthly closing process, identifying and addressing any concerns or inconsistencies.

• Ensure accurate recordkeeping including coding and processing of financial information.

• Participate actively in the annual audit, contributing to the development and preparation of the Annual Budget.

• Demonstrate expertise in using accounting software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and other related skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is desirable

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
