Salary: $21.00-$25.00/hour (based on experience) Who You Are A Project Accountant with basic knowledge of project accounting, general accounting, and business principles and 3 years of experience. (or 1 year of experience plus an AS degree in accounting or business.) Relationship-focused: Ability to interface and coordinate well with senior level staff. Ability to problem solve and work independently in a fast-paced team environment while handling multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines. Solid customer service skills. Knowledgeable: Basic accounting experience with invoicing, budgets, project management reporting, and accounting records management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to read contractual and legal documents such as purchase orders, change orders, and contract modifications. Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or Elevia is preferred. Detailed and Organized: Highly detail oriented, good judgement, and excellent organizational skills. Takes ownership of work with a high degree of reliability. Additional Requirements Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States. Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license. About the Position The successful candidate will support the project accounting management system, including working with project managers to set up projects, budgets, and project plans throughout the project life cycle. This can include but is not limited to processing new contracts and change orders, preparing monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, assist in preparation of project reports, and collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure billing accuracy and compliance. Performs other accounting tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
