National Machine Company Assembler - Air Tools in Stow, Ohio

Description Job Summary: Responsible for the daily repair and evaluation of pneumatic/electric tools, data entry, and shipping and receiving duties. Essential Job Functions: Trouble shoot problems with incoming tools and make necessary repairs to meet or exceed productions standards. Disassemble and evaluate tools for repair to ensure parts are replaced only as needed, yet all necessary replacements are identified. Use hand tools to repair pneumatic/electric tools. Document repairs Reassemble and test tools prior to shipping to customer. Process transactions in ERP system (E-10) as needed. Ship and receive tools to customers Communicate with customers and distributors or suppliers via email, fax or phone to trouble shoot and resolve issues. Additional Duties: This position includes cross-training for multiple work assignments. Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide. Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned. Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned. Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Qualifications: Ability to read exploded view diagrams. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products and MRP systems (E-10 preferred). Previous mechanical assembly and/or tool repair experience. Ability to effectively multi-task and respond to multiple job priorities simultaneously. Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company. Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results. Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies. May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual.
