System One Advanced Warehouse Operator in Stoughton, Wisconsin

Warehouse Associate

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with warehouse or storeroom operations including shipping, receiving, stocking, processing, and distributing materials.

Essential Tasks:

  • Receive and store all warehouse stock.

  • Re-stock production line parts and manage transactions in the ERP system.

  • Fill orders and ship parts and supplies via various modes (air, truck, parcel).

  • Conduct regular cycle counting.

  • Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Ensure proper execution of all paperwork.

  • Load delivery trucks for the distribution of goods.

  • Perform minor repairs on furniture, building, and equipment.

  • Obtain certification for shipping dangerous goods.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of storeroom and inventory practices.

  • Ability to accurately count and record inventory movements in the Plex system.

  • Proficient in operating lift trucks and common warehouse equipment.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and establish effective working relationships with all associates.

  • Strong communication skills, both in-person and via email.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of warehouse experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, move, climb, carry, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, handle, push, and pull.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Top 3 Skills:

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

  • Familiarity with FedEx parcel and freight shipment software and paperwork.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Additional Manager Notes:

  • Hourly Rate: $30/hr

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Duration: 4-5 weeks, with the possibility of being on-call after the assignment.

  • Location: Onsite; candidates must be local.

  • Job Scope:

  • Parcel and freight shipping/receiving.

  • Communicating with employees about received assets.

  • Coordinating shipments to the correct addresses.

  • Working with a 3rd-party warehouse supplier to transfer assets between warehouses.

  • Maintaining an asset file to ensure up-to-date location records.

  • Responding to employee emails regarding asset distribution to labs and other areas.
