Stony Brook University Programmer/Analyst I in Stony Brook, New York

Required Qualification: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in intermediate programming, data science, electronics, mathematics, physics or a related field. Experience with large volume data processing and data analysis. Preferred Qualification:
Experience working with Matlab and/or Python. Experience working with MongoDB.Brief Description of Duties:
The Programmer Analyst I will be programming in Matlab and Python, use of MongoDB, large volume data processing and data analysis.
Duties:

  • Develop algorithms and mathematical models.
  • Write programs which record, store and manipulate data for analysis, modeling and/or control.
  • Exercise professional judgment, translating oral and written instructions on objectives of research into appropriate analog/digital programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
