The College of Business at Stony Brook University is seeking applicants for an Associate/Full professor position in Finance. This is a full-time appointment in the College's Finance area. The position starts on September 1, 2025. Teaching load and research support are comparable to other public research institutions with no doctoral program. Salary is commensurate with qualification, depending on rank, record, experience, and relevant skills. Experienced candidates with an excellent track record of publications in the top finance journals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Finance or a related field. Candidates must have an excellent track record of publications in the top finance, economics, and accounting journals, especially those included in the FT 50 journal list. All areas of research will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and track record of engaging in service at the college and university levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
Research synergy with our finance faculty in the areas of corporate finance, investments, behavioral finance, international finance, and banking. Evidence of research leadership in mentoring or collaborating with junior faculty and students and in professional services to the academic community. Evidence of excellent research productivity by a portfolio of publications in the highest quality finance journals.
