Job Purpose

Finish extruded shapes to customer specifications or ASTM standards utilizing center-less grinders and the Roto-Planer .

Principal Accountabilities

  • Setup, maintain and operate center-less grinders.

  • Grind rods to the tolerance specified by the Manufacturing Orders.

  • Setup, operate and maintain the Roto-Planer.

  • Plane sheets to the tolerance specified by the Manufacturing Orders.

  • Inspect material for quality issues and bring any issues to the attention of the Production Manager.

  • Re-work non-conforming material so as to achieve conforming material based on the instructions listed on the Manufacturing Orders.

  • Load, Operate and Un-Load annealing ovens based on the SOP and the instructions of the Manufacturing Orders

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Follow all procedures and complete all documentation as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Experience with precision measuring equipment.

  • Follow LOCK OUT TAG OUT, and all other plant safety regulations when performing job.

  • Ensure all products produced meet all quality/acceptability criteria.

  • Maintain all work areas to a high level of cleanliness.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • The salary range for this position is $22-$24. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
