Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Stockbridge, Georgia

Industrial Electrician

Pay: $35 - $45hr

Job Description

Execute the scheduled and day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure the plant meets goals of safety and quality. Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain various automated production equipment in a modern and complex food production facility. Perform duties in the areas of mixing, oven, packaging, scaling, warehouse, quality control, and sanitation. All work must comply with federal, state, local, SQF 2000, and company rules and regulations, with a focus on Plant Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace electrical control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using PLCs and other automated control systems. Utilize RS Logix and read ladder logic.

  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.

  • Work closely with production and refrigeration personnel to effectively resolve and eliminate plant and process problems.

Essential Skills

  • PLC troubleshooting and programming

  • Electrical troubleshooting (24V, 480V)

  • Knowledge of ladder logic

  • Experience with photo eyes, sensors, inputs/outputs, Pro Logic 5000, servo drives, and servo motors

  • Experience with VFD

  • Ability to use multimeter, ohm meter, and/or megger

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with CMMS

Work Environment

Industrial food manufacturing site, climate controlled. The shift is from 4 PM to 4 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Training will be 2 weeks on first shift from 6 AM to 4 PM.
