JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20862 JOB TITLE: Risk and Compliance Manager Anticipated Appointment Date: July 2024 Position Summary Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor, the Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for evaluating risk exposure, assessing liability, handling claims, promoting internal controls, and developing effective trainings and programs to reduce and mitigate risk campus-wide. By identifying and developing strategies to minimize the impact of risk through efficient stewardship of financial, operational, and strategic resources we can mitigate loss, create greater financial stability, and protect our resources. Building relationships and working collaboratively across campus will be essential for success in promoting compliance and a culture of safety. The position supervises a total of three FTE working with Youth Programs, Environmental Health & Safety, Chemical Hygiene and Biological Safety. Experience working in compliance and/or risk management in a professional setting. Demonstrated knowledge making decisions regarding compliance, risks, and corrective actions. Communication skills including formal documentation, reporting, and oral/digital presentations. Proficient with technology including, but not limited to, data management software, data/word processing, and spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of experience working in compliance and/or risk management in a professional setting. Experience supervising full time employees. Experience with Camp Docs or similar data management software for youth programs. Experience working with state or federal policies and processes. Experience with environmental, health and safety policies and practices. OSHA 10 certification.
