JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 21426 Position Title: Facilities Technician II Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Maintenance Manager Position Summary Under the general supervision and direction of the Maintenance Manager of Facility Services, the incumbent will perform general mechanical maintenance and repairs primarily within UWSP\'s academic properties with the responsibility for maintenance and repair of general building envelope items including windows, doors, walls, flatwork, and roofs. The incumbent will also provide basic remodeling functions including demolition of walls, drop ceilings and flooring as well as installation of carpet tile, VCT tile, ceramic tile and assembly of modular office furniture and office/classroom appliances and fixtures. The incumbent will operate, and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely, perform strenuous physical labor, follow oral and written instructions, and keep daily computerized records. Additionally, the incumbent will prioritize personal workflow, read, comprehend, and work from plans and prints, maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse campus population. Staff will serve as role models by practicing exemplary behaviors when working with customers, and fellow staff members and the supervisory team. Shift: 3 PM-11 PM, Monday-Friday. Basic knowledge in replacing VCT/Carpet flooring, drop ceiling tiles, and vinyl base trim. Basic knowledge of demolition equipment and required PPE. Basic knowledge of assembling office furniture and office/classroom appliances. Excellent customer service skills. Strong communication skills (Need to communicate with customers and supervisors.)
