JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21083 JOB TITLE: Chief of Police & Director of Parking Services TTC Title and Code: Chief of Police (CP044) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point, Main Campus Supervisor: Vice Chancellor of Business Affairs Position Summary This is a sworn law enforcement management position and is responsible for the leadership, planning, direction, operations and management of Police & Security Services, Emergency Management and the Parking Services units at UWSP. These units have a combined budget of approximately 2 million dollars. Duties include policy and budget development and management, higher education policing, security services, police dispatch, administration of building access controls and surveillance camera programs, parking operations and supervision, lot maintenance and construction, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of personnel. The position is also responsible for Emergency Management and is the incident commander for the Emergency Operations Center. This position is also the Clery Compliance officer. Duties include engaging with the UWSP administration, campus partners, and the Stevens Point/Portage County community around public safety issues. The position is expected to build positive and collaborative working relationships with local, state, federal and UW System public safety agencies as well as the Portage County District Attorney\'s Office.
