JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20730 Position Title: Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action and Title IX TTC Title and Code: Assistant Chancellor (EX013) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus, Old Main Supervisor: Dr. Thomas Gibson, Chancellor Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Chancellor, the Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action and Title IX is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, UW System policies, and campus policies. This is a Cabinet-level leadership position that reports directly to the Chancellor. Under administrative review of the Chancellor, the Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action and Title IX will oversee the institution\'s compliance efforts with Affirmative Action, Title IX, Clery Act, and other campus initiatives and to provide advice on policies, programs, and services to achieve affirmative action goals. This position also serves as the institutional compliance officer for Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. They will develop institution-wide policies, maintain compliance data, and oversee the compliance program and affiliated staff. They will develops and deliver training, monitor institutional risk, and communicate risk and remediation strategies to leadership to ensure compliance with institutional policies and/or laws and regulations. The Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action and Title IX will update the Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EO) database, perform data analysis, and complete administrative and program development activities to help resolve matters affecting employer/employee relationships and in the development of recruitment plans for institutional vacancies while ensuring compliance with federal and state AA/EO laws and regulations. This position requires thorough knowledge of administrative code, state statutes, and policies and procedures as they pertain to employees and students. This position must demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, maintain confidentiality, and foster an environment that is inclusive, trusting, respectful, and collegial. Proficient written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management. Demonstrated experience with analyzing problems objectively, making effective decisions and recommendations, and assisting with the implementation of solutions to these problems. Demonstrated experience with establishing and maintaining professional, collaborative working relationships and interpersonal skills.
