Our work depends on a Warehouse Specialist joining our team to support customer warehouse and logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities.

HOW THE WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Conduct regular visual inspections of the facility to ensure all areas and systems are safe, clean and in working order

  • Document problems, coordinates with vendor/management as appropriate for repair/maintenance and maintains facility repair checklist

  • Assists with shipping and receiving, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all shipments

  • Prepares equipment for shipping, ensuring completeness of paperwork included bills, packing slips, and other requires documentation (certificates of origin, bills of lading, etc.) and receive equipment, returning it to inventory

  • Coordinates with the Warehouse Manager upon receipt of shipments to identify and resolves overages, shortages and/or damages associated with shipments

  • Compiles, maintain and archives all document in accordance with federal, state, industry and/or client/program specific laws, guidelines and/or SOPs

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory

  • Travel to remote facilities to manage inventories, support exercises and facilitate equipment updates

  • Interface with internal customers, purchasing agents, and various other organizations

  • Communicates with external carrier representatives

  • Assist with planning for routine scheduling, exercises and special events

  • Assist the Transportation Manager with the coordination and execution of the vehicle maintenance program

  • Assist the Facility Manager with the property management company/owner and vendors and coordinates all actions

  • Assist in the local area transport and delivery

  • Assist with site visits; validating access for and escorting vendors

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education : HS/GED and 3+ years experience

  • Required Experience : Must have solid work history that demonstrates warehouse experience

  • Required Certifications : Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Required Security Clearance Level : Top Secret/SCI

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently

  • Other Requirements: Must be able to physically stand, sit, move, walk and lift up to 25 lbs regularly

  • Preferred Certification and Experience: Forklift certification and experience is preferred

  • Location : On Customer Site, Arlington, Virginia. No remote work options

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.56 - $35.94. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
