Aston Carter Service Technician in Sterling, Virginia

Our client in Sterling VA is immediately hiring for a Service Technician to join their team. This is a full time opportunity that will pay based on years of experience. Qualified candidates will have an interview scheduled within 48 hours of resume submission.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience with electrical and or mechanical instrument trouble shooting experience required.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Prior experience following an SOP required.

  • Demonstrated effectively customer communication.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to work safely around electrical and mechanical hazards.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description

The primary role of this position is to provide high quality repair and preventative maintenance services for all client brands equipment supported through the Service Center. The secondary role of this position is to create repair quotations and shipping documents for Service Requests and to maintain Service Order tracking by keeping accurate Salesforce RMA status information.

  • Use established ISO work instructions to provide repair, calibration, certification and preventative maintenance services for all brands equipment.

  • Determine the amount to bill customer within a framework of charges using computerized service systems.

  • Provide input to new product design teams as assigned.

  • Accurate inventory management.

  • Provide technical assistance as needed to customers, Marketing, Service Tech I, Operations, Inside Sales, R&D and technician advisors.

  • Manage daily SQDIP functions.
