Insight Global REMOTE Senior Network Engineer in Sterling, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer to lead projects and tasks on our client's multi-tenant global scale network. You will engineer solutions to unique Network Infrastructure problems, design solutions that enhance the networks operations, reliability, and scalability, and do some requirements gathering. If you have expertise in BGP Routing Protocols, Cisco, Juniper and Arista networking technologies, then this role would be an excellent fit for you. Responsibilities include:

- Develop scalable network designs, solutions, policies, and recommendations.

- Identify, research, and evaluate network related tools and emerging network technologies.

- Evaluate and test upgrades to network equipment such as routers and switches.

- Document new and existing network deployments according to standards.

- Drive revenue growth through the creative development of new products and services.

- Participate as network security Subject Matter Expert both internally and externally.

- Advise developers on automation necessary for network management & visibility.

- Advise support team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Serve as mentor to the other engineering team members.

- Participate in rotating on-call schedule with several other team members.

- Provide third-tier support

Skills and Requirements

- 12+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, Architect, or in Network Security

- Expertise in BGP Protocols

- Advanced level knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Arista technologies

- Several years of experience in designing and engineering solutions to complex network infrastructure related issues and projects

- Experience with ISP's and CSP's is heavily preferred

- Candidates should feel confident and comfortable working within complex global scale networks null
