About the Role: The Lead Hybrid Electric Powertrain Engineer role will apply engineering principles to generate designs that solve complex problems. The individual will lead the development of integrated hybrid electric powertrain and power generation solutions for our wheeled and tracked vehicles. On-going learning opportunities within a diverse, inclusive and rewarding work environment Onsite Cafeteria, remodeled with new equipment Fitness Center, and Outdoor fitness track Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role: Lead a team of engineers in the development of integrated hybrid electric powertrain and power generation solutions for wheeled and tracked vehicle platforms. Work with suppliers towards the development of the subsystems and components for the powertrain and power generation systems. Identify subsystem and component requirements, provide direction to analysis teams, and interpret analysis results CoordinateFEAof components and subsystems Create test plans and actively lead or guide subsystem level testing Prepare and present information to the IPT on progress and design solutions Direct and oversee CAD model development and drawings Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Sought: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters Degree in preferred. 10+ years plus in a related role is desired. Minimum of 10 years engineering experience along with 5 years of relevant Hybrid Electric experience (PHEV, HEV, or EV) required. Excellent analytical skills to appropriately size subsystems and components Demonstrated ability to work independently Mind-set to work collaboratively in a team environment for program success Proven skills in the development of technical documents and oral communication Strong technical writing and presentation skills sought. Additional Information / Desired Experience This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance) Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired. This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space) Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required Familiarity with military standards and test requirements desired.
