The College of Liberal and Fine arts, including the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, at Tarleton State University seeks to expand its pool of applicants for potential highly qualified teaching assistant positions for its growing course offerings in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, and Midlothian. These positions are for the 2024-2025 academic year. These positions are part-time and appointed on a semester by semester basis. Highly qualified teaching assistants are not considered instructors of record or responsible for instructional delivery. These individuals assist the instructor of record by performing functions such as facilitating online environments, responding to course related questions, managing class activities in physical spaces, assessing student work, and other course related tasks during regularly scheduled course hours. We are looking for bachelors, master's and doctoral-qualified candidates to serve as highly qualified teaching assistants in undergraduate and graduate courses in communication studies; English and languages; fine arts; history, sociology, geography and GIS; government, legal studies, and philosophy; and criminal justice. Interested candidates must have bachelors degree or higher in hand in communication studies; English and languages; fine arts; history, sociology, geography and GIS; government, legal studies, and philosophy; and criminal justice or a related field.

Salary: Commensurate with degree earned

Required Education/Experience: Minimum qualifications include a bachelors degree or higher in the discipline or a closely related area.

Preferred Education/Experience: Master’s degree or higher with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level
