BBG -Personnel Services Machine Operator/Stephenville in STEPHENVILLE, Texas
MACHINE OPERATOR Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 10:30 pm $14.96 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Use decimals, fractions, scale, caliper, micrometer, and fixed gauges.
- Know quality procedures/objectives; help reach and maintain plant qualitygoals.
- Work from engineering drawings, job layouts,setup,and quality procedures.
- Adjust safety equipment and instruct others in the safe use of machines andequipment.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, walk-lifts, die carts and other materialhandlingequipment anduse good judgement in moving and storing materials.
- Set,adjust,and pull compound and progressive dies, calculate die spacingclearances, and setup automatic and mechanical feeds.
- Perform assigned duties in allotted time / meet established productioncriteria.
- Determine when tooling requires maintenance.
- Work under limited supervision, and perform all other assigned duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Capability to use simple math.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (work well with others).
- Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity.
- Accurately complete time sheets and production reports.
- Work overtime and change shifts with minimum notice.
- Good safety, attendance, and performance records.
- Skill to identify parts by catalog number, inspect for quality, andrecognize defects.
- Ability to check operation of press and meet press departmentproductionrequirements.
- Load, unload, and feed material into dies.
- Minimum of six months draw or stamping press operating experiencepreferred
- Mechanical Aptitude test may be required. Test scores may be used inevaluating candidates.
- Ability to lift and maneuver loads of 40lbs. ormore without assistance.
- Ability to apply up to 125 ft. lbs. of torque to mounting bolts.
- During the 90-day probation period, employee must be trained tosafelyoperate all forklifts and hand lifts. This must be done prior to operating alift.
