Job Description

Tarleton State University is looking to expand its pool of applicants for potential adjunct faculty positions at our three locations in the Fort Worth Metroplex, Stephenville, and Waco. We are looking for masters and doctorally-prepared candidates to teach undergraduate (BSW) and graduate (MSW) day and/or night face-to-face courses in the following disciplines: Social Work

Salary: Commensurate with Qualifications and Course Level

Required Education/Experience:

Minimum qualifications include a MSW and two years post-MSW experience for BSW courses, and a MSW and two years post-MSW experience and a Ph.D. (in Social Work or a closely related field) or DSW for MSW courses. Online components are delivered via Blackboard and candidates for these positions should have experience with this or a similar course management system.

Preferred Education/Experience:

An earned doctorate in the discipline (or closely related field). Daytime availability and a willingness to travel between campuses is a plus. Prior college teaching experience and appropriate professional certifications and/or licenses are a plus.

Adjunct instructors are hired to teach on a temporary and part-time basis. Adjunct instructors teaching courses for credit must meet the same requirements for professional and scholarly preparation as their full-time counterparts teaching in the same discipline.

Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon the institution’s verification of credentials and/or other information required by the institution’s procedures, including the completion of the criminal history check.
