Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a talented Junior Cloud Software Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a project for a government customer. This position requires the ability to obtain a T5/Secret clearance to support KDS and our government customer.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services using languages such as...

  • Assist in configuring and managing cloud infrastructure on platforms such as...

  • Participate in the migration of on-premises applications and data to cloud environments.

  • Support automation of infrastructure provisioning through platforms such as....

  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers and DevOps teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.

  • Prepare technical specifications and participate on solution architectures and estimations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and product environments.

  • Implement security best practices in cloud solutions, focusing on identity management, encryption, and network security.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in cloud deployments.

  • Monitor cloud systems and applications for performance, reliability and scalability.

  • Optimize cloud resources to enhance cost efficiency and performance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for cloud infrastructure, applications, and practices.

  • Assist in setting up backup and disaster recovery processes for cloud environments

  • Participate in code review and knowledge-sharing sessions to contribute to team growth

Required Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Cloud Software Development Experience or proven capabilities through certification

  • Amazon Web Services, Cloud Technologies

  • T5 / Secret clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
