Description

We are seeking a VP of Finance to join our team. While the company is located in Mississippi, this is a fully remote role with occasional travel to central Mississippi. In order to be considered for this role you MUST HAVE 7+ years of Manufacturing finance/accounting experience and 5+ years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and implementation of an organizational structure for the accounting department to meet set objectives

• Manage outsourced functions and ensure efficient operations

• Supervise the accounting operations of parent corporations and other entities under the control of the parent company

• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

• Develop and maintain quality suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality at a fair price

• Coordinate with the CPA for annual reviews and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Ensure that accounts payable are settled promptly and all reasonable discounts are applied

• Ensure prompt collection of accounts receivable

• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and the chart of accounts

• Develop reports for monthly and annual financials, as well as company financial performance and departmental performance analyses

• Assist in negotiating financial terms with customers on complex contracts

• Maintain sustainable and appropriate inventory levels and ensure proper recording and tracking of inventory

• Oversee the company budget and lead the budgeting process

• Issue timely and complete financial statements, develop and produce weekly cash flow analysis and coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report

• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics, provide for a system of management cost reports and provide financial analyses as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Ten to fifteen years of direct accounting experience, with at least five years as a controller preferred. Education and/or Equivalent Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or related experience and/or training preferred.

Training, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Required Certifications: CPA or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred

Training: Leadership, Management, Accounting, API/ISO, EPICOR, Quality Management Systems preferred.

Mathematical Skills: Advanced mathematical concepts

Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite

Reasoning Ability: Define problems, draw valid conclusions, interpret and collect data, and draw valid conclusions
