Southwire Job Description
Under the general supervision of the site leader, the COZ specialist supports the EHS and Quality standards, assisting management and CSC personnel in achieving all safety and quality standards and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains the COZ Cultural Self-Assessment status, Coordinates, maintains and leads VPP program.
Maintain Quality management system (QMS) and conduct yearly management review.
Leads safety and ergonomic improvement projects that reduce potential workplace hazard. Assists in identifying and eliminating safety hazards.
Engage and assist CSC personnel and management with safety and quality related problems. Assists in auditing CSC areas, performs/reviews/revises Job Hazard Analysis and contractor compliance.
Utilization of lean tools, LSW, problem solving huddles and DHP in support of the value stream.
Promote and ensure continuous improvement in all safety and quality KPI’s.
Investigate all external and Internal QNs to ensure that they are coded on the correct root cause of the discrepancy.
Maintain, process, and track all QNs to closure, Gemba walks to identify safety and quality issues, and pareto data to identify and problem solve high bars.
Manage all freight claims through disposition of all material affected.
Work with corporate CDR team, plant quality, and sales teams to process QN instances related to the facilities performance.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS and Quality
OSHA 10 Certification
