Ford is investing $5.6 billion to build its state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at Blue Oval City in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will produce the next generation electric trucks. On 3,600 acres, we are building our first mega campus in more than a generation – and it’s electric. This brand-new facility will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and will be among the largest automotive manufacturing campus in U.S. history. What you'll do…
Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations
Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems
Update program backups for automation
Program new installations
Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
Coordinate automation campaigns
You'll have
Engineering Degree
Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
Panel view use/programming Servo and VFD drives.
Electrical background (Electrician or technician)
Ability to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building and communication skills.
Familiarity with VFDs, Armor starts, encoders, and network/Ethernet controls.
Even better, you may have…
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
2+ years of related experience
Strong problem solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs
Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
Siemens programming
TIA portal
Fanuc robot experience
Gudel automation
RS Logics, Microsoft office
PLC
Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
Ability to read blueprints
Simulation modeling exposure
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
TQM and Kaizen Methods
FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
Visual Factory Management
