Continental Disc Corporation Assembler in Stafford, Texas

As an assembler at Groth, you will assemble and tests manufactured products maintaining company procedures and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Assemble and test manufactured products maintaining company procedures and customer requirements

  • Clean work area daily

  • Train other valve assemblers

  • Assist in repair of test stands or other assembly equipment

  • Attend and participates in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training

  • Complete weekly and monthly Progress Reports and various other reports as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on work load and business need

EDUCATION ADN EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of one (1) year valve (control valves, relief valves, etc.) assembly experience or one (1) year training in the instrumentation field

TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:

  • Basic math skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Problem solving and formulations

  • Reading and proofreading

  • Reasoning and analyzing

  • Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments

BEHAVORIAL:

  • Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies

  • Attention to detail

  • Concern for quality, accuracy and safety

  • Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work well with others, including subordinates, peers, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
