Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office a minimum of 8 days per month at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.

Job Summary:

As part of our Back-Office Application Modernization team at Raymond James, this Senior Engineer will analyze business requirements and drive research to design technical solutions that support our host of Mutual Fund, Cost Basis and Tax Reporting applications. In this role, you will be responsible to perform all activities associated with SDLC and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements, identify application interactions and respective interfaces.

• Design solutions, collaborate with partners and get approval of the same.

• Develop, document, test and implement solutions that adhere to established standards.

• Collaborate with peers and partners to solve technical issues.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Skilled in / Knowledge of:

• Solid experience in working with all stages of SDLC.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate with all stake holders of the application (Peers, IT Partners, Business Operations and Vendors).

• Good experience in working as a Sr. Software Engineer in Financial Services Industry, Mutual Funds, Cost Basis and Tax Reporting is a plus.

• Solid experience in Full Stack application development, with following specializations primarily on Back-end and Middle Tier.

• Back-end: Database programming (SQL Server and Oracle), SSIS and SSRS, Data Models, Data Lakes both On-prem and Cloud

• Middle-tier: Service Based Integrations (.Net, Java) and APIs

• Front-end: Angular, .Net

• Good experience in working and supporting batch-jobs and scheduling service platforms like BMC.

• Good experience in working with CICD tools and technologies.

• Good experience in working with various forms of testing (UI, Integration, Regression).

• Good experience in working on a self-service based request platforms like Service Now.

• Good experience and ability to focus on multiple initiatives, short term vs strategic initiatives.

• Exposure to Generative AI platforms is a plus.

Education/Previous Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or combination of education, training and experience.

• At least to five (5) years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, all aspects of SDLC in a highly scalable multi-tier applications in distributed environments is preferred.

• Financial Services or regulatory environment experience is preferred.
