You belong at SEH We are currently searching for an experienced and talented Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join and grow with our Central Region Civil team! Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You'll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you'll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. Sr Mechanical Engineer Why you'll love SEH: * Collaborate on amazing projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities * Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company's success * Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training * Work arrangements that promote work/life balance * Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities * Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice This Opportunity: * Responsible for working with market and practice leaders to develop geographic growth initiatives specifically in Texas and Minnesota. * Works with regional leadership to develop resources and investments needed to meet growth goals outlined in Texas and Minnesota business plan. * Building client relationships * Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple projects for a variety of clients * Understanding market needs and trends to identify and act on opportunities to win work * Maintaining close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion * Estimates business impact of strategic growth initiatives and prepares reports and recommendations for regional leaders. * Proposes plans for leveraging internal resources in order to capitalize on growth opportunities and tracks performance. * Administers long-term strategic plans for the growth within Texas. * Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities. * Hiring, managing, mentoring, and working with staff as needed to provide a positive team environment. * Representing SEH with local governments, municipalities and other agencies at project and public meetings * Responding to RFQ's * Preparing project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects * Presenting proposals to clients, interviewing for projects, and selecting project teams Essential Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Eng neering or other related engineering field of study * Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota and Texas * Experience in proposal writing and client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals * Must be able to travel for client meetings, as needed * Skilled in collaborating with other internal business leaders to evaluate opportunities and strategies for growth * Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to accurately and professionally present information to all levels of individuals both internal and external * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of fifteen (15) years previous experience with design, construction and project management of municipal infrastructure and/or land development / commercial projects * Twenty (20)+ years of previous experience in the Civil Engineering field * Located in Minnesota or Central Texas * Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff * Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations * Skilled in collaborating with other internal business leaders to evaluate opportunities and strategies for growth * Strong networking skills and an extensive network of contacts throughout the state of Texas Who We Are Better Places. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $150,000 and $175,000 based on skill set and experience.
