You belong at SEH We are currently searching for a talented Mechanical Technician IV to join and grow with our Mechanical & Electrical team! This will be for the St. Paul, MN office and will be Hybrid! At SEH, our Mechanical and Electrical engineering teams deliver efficient, reliable and stable systems for buildings across the country they design solutions knowing a reliable mechanical and electrical system is the backbone of a highly functional facility. You'll work on everything from skyscrapers to small tenant improvements, utilities and water/wastewater facilities, grocery to retail and laboratories to educational facilities. The team focuses on projects ranging from simple studies to complete documentation of systems for construction. Sr Mechanical Engineer Why you'll love SEH: * Collaborate on amazing projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities * Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company's success * Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training * Work arrangements that promote work/life balance * Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities * Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice This Opportunity: * Develop mechanical design solutions * Produces and manages the production of construction documents * Provides coordination with other discipline Essential Qualifications: * Associate's Degree in Mechanical System Design or related field * Previous experience with practical mechanical design * Previous experience with CAD systems * Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, field surveys, construction observation, etc. Preferred Qualifications: * Seven (7) or more years of previous experience with practical mechanical design. * Previous experience on Retail, Commercial and Industrial projects. * Familiarity with NFPA 13 requirements for various building types. * Knowledgeable and proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, Trane Trace * AutoCAD production system with some RevitMEP experience * Knowledgeable and proficient in applicable mechanical, plumbing, gas, energy, and fire codes. * Good communications skills, verbal and written. * Ability to work independent with minimal supervision, capable of completing drawing and specifications for mechanical systems design to include plumbing, HVAC, gas piping, and fire protection. * Capable of executing heating and cooling load calculations, size equipment for HVAC systems, and size/layout duct work and piping. * Capable of design plumbing systems, size roof drainage, waste and vent, and domestic water piping systems, select equipment such as water heater, pumps, drains etc. * Experience working with Code Officials and Client to resolve issues to keep projects moving f rward. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $31 and $43 per hour based on skill set and experience.
