Job Summary:

Responsible for test engineering support relating to board (In Circuit and Functional) and final assembly level testing. Program, design, and maintain production test systems. Work with manufacturing personnel to support process improvement, product assembly support, and problem resolution, cost improvements, quality. Work with engineering to improve design for testability on new and updated designs.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for In-Circuit Test (ICT) test support and ICT product introduction activities.

  • Responsible for the specification, procurement, deployment, and validation of new ICT fixtures.

  • Document the design and manage changes to the test systems.

  • Develop and implement process controls and control improvements.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communication with staff, as needed, providing customer feedback.

  • Conduct qualification activities to ensure deliverables meet required specifications. Create required documentation for new or updated processes and provide or support training of production associates.

  • Propose potential projects and provide technical leadership to help overall site achievement of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity improvement goals within the manufacturing operation.

  • Troubleshoot equipment, test software or product failures as required and implement solutions.

  • Support the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives.

  • Work to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements.

  • Continuously strive for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic team environment.

  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally, problem solving, and exercising good judgment.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.

  • Three to five years’ experience in a test support position (preferably an electronic assembly environment).

  • Circuit board level troubleshooting knowledge a plus.

  • Tools & Languages Preferred: TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, C++, SQL AutoCAD (or similar), Multimeter& Oscilloscope.

  • Understanding of serial communications protocols over RS232 and RS485.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques preferred.

  • Experience with MS Office software packages (Word, Excel, etc…).

  • This role has been designated as safety sensitive.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate with others both written and orally. Mobility within the work facility. Ability to travel independently 10%.

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.

Compensation Range: $94,000 - $125,000
